1997-Savant is Born |

Savant
launched in 1997 as a pure play IT Consulting company serving
the IT staffing needs of small to medium sized corporations
in the New Jersey / New York areas. |

 |
Launched Nationally
|
|
By 1999,
after having gained a strong foothold locally, Savant had expanded
nationally. This was necessary in part to better serve the larger
clients acquired and effectively meet their demand for Savant's
top-notch talent. |

Domain Expertise
Developed |
|
|
Between
1997 and 2001, the IT staffing business grew rapidly with the
addition of Fortune 2000 clients. In the same time frame, Savant
developed distinct competencies in industry verticals as diverse
as Insurance, Banking, IT and Pharmaceuticals. AIG, Deutsche,
CGEY and Sankyo Pharmaceuticals were among the Fortune 2000
clients added, and today remain key business clients for the
company. |

Going Offshore |
|
During
the same period, the US economic downturn resulted in drastic
cuts in corporate spending. The new corporate mantra was "cost-cutting"
and IT Services companies alike felt the pressure of lower service
rates and margins. Foreseeing this as a long-term trend, Savant
invested in
state-of-the-art offshore delivery capabilities in India to
lower client costs and improve delivery times (24x7 delivery
model). |

By 2001,
Savant was poised for rapid growth within the IT Services sector.
With its metamorphosis into a full life cycle software services
provider now complete, Savant was actively looking to expand
its service offerings to its growing customer base. HandsOn
Ventures (www.handsonventures.com),
a technology buyout firm based out of Santa Monica, CA acquired
Savant in early 2002 to assist the company in meeting its objectives.
